Family Member Affidavit of Support
Information and Document Request

If you are agreeing to help an individual or family member who is applying for a green card by filing an "Affidavit of Support" with the U.S. government, please:

• Remember that you are committing to financially support the person being sponsored, if necessary, to prevent them from receiving public assistance.
  
  
• Be sure to review the actual form once you receive it from Thompson Immigration and ask any questions you may have before signing it.
  
  
• If you return a signed Affidavit of Support to Thompson Immigration, you are certifying to both Thompson Immigration and the U.S. government that you have read and understood your obligations under the Affidavit of Support.

In order to proceed, please:

• Complete the "Affidavit of Support Data Information Sheet" for every person (e.g., yourself and your spouse) agreeing to support the person being sponsored; and
  
  
• Submit the documents requested in the "Affidavit of Support Document Request" for every person (e.g., yourself and your spouse) agreeing to support the person being sponsored to Thompson Immigration either by email or overnight mail.
